Have you looked at 9"? Lots of them in 73-79 (and more) F-150's. 5x5.5 bolt pattern. Mine takes my 460 all day long. 4x4 have the spring pad on top, 2x4 have them on the bottom. No C Clips, tapered axle bearings, and tons of aftermarket support.

yeah, considered them too. Just really would like a drop in. But, ya never know. We have time, that's the good thing
