Is it a SW? 65's did. Check out a 66 FSM for wiring diagram.

On the 66 barracuda S the tach "tin can" is located behind the drivers side plastic kick panel. its a little metal can about 3" round.

The 66 Chargers had a remote sender as well.
The MOPAR early tach sending units are all the same. There are some on eBay now for a mere $100.
