Got my 72 Duster LH rear quarter panel for my 70 Duster. Got it somewhat into place . once I have it squared with the door and body lines I probably need to tack it here and there. I thought there would be spot weld holes where needed but not. I have a flanger with hole punch. Is that the way to go.

Yes. We use sheet metal screw to hold things in place, once tacked up pull them and weld them closed.

Yes. AMD is flanged to go up inside. I don't want to distort that too much.

Sounds like the Fastback my dad is doing now. Just avoid areas that as not structurally sound like in the middle of the panel. That location get leaded or body filled so a flat spot is going to be covered.

Going to pull it off today , need to seal a couple areas that I had patched for rust. I will punch holes for the weld spots at that time. Thanks for the help. Its just slow and easy from here on.

OK got panel back on and seams are straight but weld holes are no where near where I thought they would be.Anyway pretty happy with the out come
