Ran into a snag. Built a "mock" block & intake to install in the convertible to fit the shaker to the hood, and found out I had ordered the wrong shaker base plate. Apparently there is stock @ 6.25" on center, stock with Edelbrocks @6.75" on center (which is what I have) and one called Edelbrocks on a Stage 5 which is @ 8.75" on center. So, they'll take the wrong one back, but wow, is the correct one spendy.

I love your build and will follow it. 426, wow. Im planning to fab in a Shaker on my 68 340 Notch. Big challenge. So far ive found OEM style set up at shakerhood.com $2k...or a fiberglass version from Danko I think he quoted $880. Where did you get your Shaker/ parts? Already I can see my firewall and wiper motor are likely intrusions. Keep up the great job!
