Clutch Master Cylinder Mounting

-
We were happy that the master cylinder and adapter fit without having to relocate my parking brake cable or my stainless brake lines:

I did not like the thick rubber line that came with the Wilwood remote M/C kit so I got an adapter and threaded it on the barbed bottom of the reservoir and had a hose made to run to the master cylinder:

We used the stock pivot point on the clutch pedal. We cut the rod end of adapter that came with Steve's kit. We used a piece of flat bar to fabricate a piece mimicking the stock clutch pedal rod attachment point and welded it to the piece of thread cut from the rod end. You have to use this piece of thread or find a piece of reverse thread all-thread to fit the adjuster. The angle seems perfect and we have plenty of travel.

So no issues with the rod angle and all that? I think there was some talks earlier on in this thread regarding the angle of the rod and where it attaches to the clutch pedal.

I saw those those comments as well but the angle seemed to be just about perfect and didn't bind the rod in anyway. I think people were concerned with travel or possibly over-travel but so far it seems good.

Thanks for adding all that desmo900.

I have more produced and ready to ship. I believe I have contacted everyone that was on the waiting list, If I missed anyone, I apologize. I had more produced than were on my list so I have more to sell than the preorders. Let me know.

$100 each

Thanks,
Steve

Not to hijack the thread but what is everyone using for a pressure plate? More specifically, what type?

Got the master mounted up and made a bracket to hold my slave cylinder. I’m wondering if I will need to shorten my church fork to get more throw. How much does the throw out bearing typically have to move to disengage the clutch?

Finally got to see how the clutch release is! It feels good, hopefully I'll get more practice this summer!

Hi all. I bought and received the master cylinder mount today; it's a great piece of engineering. Not sure if I will be using it in a car yet, but the piece is well worth the money.

In post #65 showing a master cylinder mounted in a yellow car, shouldn't the upper fluid line be connected to the fluid reservoir, and the lower one to the slave? I am thinking that any air bubbles in the master cylinder would want to float upward, and therefore would travel more naturally up to the reservoir.

When you get a master cylinder the instructions will tell you which port is which. I have a Wilwood, and it's the same as the Yellow car. I had trouble getting my stock Dodge master cylinder for TR6060 bled out, and I put a T with a cap on so I could bleed the line to the slave cylinder as the slave cylinder has no way to bleed it.

Finally got the Barracuda on the road to today to grab a couple gears!

The pedal feel is better than my '09 Challenger.
