A friend of mine has a house out in the small Golf Cub town of Queen Valley, AZ
Out East of Phoenix and Mesa out in the foothills in a valley.
Nice place to go in the US Winter, favorable temps although you may have to run the heater on some of the cool January nights. But then the sun comes out during the days and makes it nice again.
I spent 2 Winters there, super nice retired people living there coming in from all over the country and Canada. It's like everyone there comes in from somewhere else so everyone has a lot in common with good experiecnces to share.
225,000 will get you a basic starter home there and they go up from there. A community for all with no upityness of who has what. About 45 minutes out of Phoenix.
