Did my neighbor go "stupid?"

Those booster axled dumps are hit and miss kinda thing. In urban areas they have the advantage of not having to drop a transfer trailer, but they have the disadvantage of only carrying a 70% load. One of the contractors that bought AC from me had a job in an urban area only 40 miles from the AC plant, decided he was going to use the "Super 10s" like that to haul for him. They only save 10 minutes per trip over a transfer and carry a smaller load. Even with additional trucks the AC on the ground was down but 30% and the cost was up by 20%. He decided after the 1st day Super 10s were not what he was going to finish the project with. In the right market with a good truck broker that Super 10 should be a money maker.
