I received the 2 gaskets for the top of the Weiand 6bbl intake. Thanks.
I know this is "Brand X" but...on another 6bbl front, I just finished installing the completely modded and reworked Rochester Tripower carbs on the 421 in my wife's 65 GTO. They were restored a couple of years ago, but never modded to take into account all of the high performance parts and design we utilized when we had the 421 rebuilt. I took the opportunity and blocked off the heat x-over and installed insulator spacers under all 3 carbs.
Runs better than ever! Tomorrow (Mardi Gras around "these parts") the local drag strip is having a special day of bracket racing/heads up and grudge racing...
Going to see if we can match or beat 12.8 which was my Dad's winning time back in 1965. He beat another 65 GTO in his 65, and still has the 1st Place Trophy.
I know we have "more motor" than he did, and topping his 12.8 is something my wife wants to accomplish...
