sure like a 383 or 400 that looks like a 283
we built a lot of 4x4 283's 6" rod
ran them on carbs, injectors and blown fuel
cranks back then were Moldex steel but lots of choices now
keep the small crank pin or Honda pin makes it easier to clearance
and you have to run small base circle on the cam
we were running stock other GM brand 6" rods
today you can get rods with stroker clearance
