My car has one crappy repaint but it matches the original well. I think it is b5 but want other opinion. Does anyone sell this in a rattle can so I can do some touch up? Thanks!

Looks B5 is the fender tag there?

Yep, I'd say B5 for sure. My interior is B5.
If you have an automotive paint supply store anywhere near you, they can mix up some and put it in spray cans for you.
That's how I redid my interior.
Place I use to get mine had a two can minimum.

And regardless of the paint code, that color will be VERY hard to match. B5 has metal flake in it, and I agree that looks like it could be B5. Although B5 also looks very different depending on the light it's in, partly because of the flake. Also partly because there was more than one formulation for B5, it was different in different model years.

Anyway, touching up any large sections will be very difficult. Even sprayed out of the same bucket colors like B5 can look different if they're sprayed at different temperatures or air pressure settings, because it changes how the flake is distributed. You can't even hang a run and sand it out, the metal flake leaves a "ghost" run in the paint even once it's been sanded flat.

I do not envy anyone given the task of matching that paint.

69 and 70 is a different B5 then 71 and newer. I had a 69 dart and a 71 Denon at the same time in the early 80's the 69 was lighter and seamed the same color as your car. The 71 was a darker color.

EB5- 1969

GB5- 1971

KB5- 1974

Take it to the paint store and have them photo match it.

I've had 100% success with hard to match YY1 and JY3.
