Here are some photos of the TTI shorty headers on my 383 / 727 which may help you see and decide if that is the way you want to go.
The only thing I had to do was tap in the drivers side extension pipe as it was hitting the torsion bar, but that could have been do to the placement or alignment of the engine being just a little off.
