If this cam is what you have it's pretty serious 340 camshaft, I would say at least 391 or 411 gears I think it would lend itself better to a four speed car or like it said at least 3000 stall speed converter with an automatic. It will also work better with smaller combustion Chambers and or higher compression. But used with the right parts could be a real screamer it will definitely be soft under 3000 RPMs
