You cannot just put the 74-78 big block mounts on a stock small block k-member and end up with the engine in the proper place. If that would have been satisfactory Chrysler would not have built and sold the Direct Connection k-member, which is just a modified small block unit. The 74-78 mounts are what Chrysler used with the DC k-member. Check out my videos and make your own.
