For sale is a new Howards solid flat tappet cam part # 712361. Specs are as follows:

Basic Operating RPM Range: 3,400-7,400
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 240
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 255
Advertised Intake Duration: 292
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 302
Intake Valve Lift with 1.5 ratio rocker arms: 0.540 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with 1.5 ratio rocker arms: 0.555 in.
Lobe Separation (degrees): 108
Intake Valve Lash: 0.026 in.
Exhaust Valve Lash: 0.026 in.

Camshaft Manufacturers Description: Lopey idle. Oval track, street/strip with 10.0:1+ compression ratio. Auto needs 3,500+ stall.

What size motor did you run this in? Did you use the car on the street. Is it too big of a cam for a 408? I want a snapy/peppy car on the street.
 
It is new. I have not rune the cam. Plan was to use this in a 416. Should make a good street strip cam with the right gear and converter (or manual gear box).
 
I believe this cam is ground on a 904 lifter friendly core. Only two Howard's cams are like this the rest being Chevy grinds.

IMO, this will make for an excellent street strip cam.
I myself would run it with 1.6 rockers & fully ported heads w/a also fully ported RPM-AG & 1-3/4 headers.
It’ll rock.
FWIW, Rocket is a good fella & seller.
