HI guys, can anyone recommend a mopar-knowledgeable engine builder around the Fresno area, or anywhere within 100-ish miles of Fresno? I know there's some good ones farther away in SoCal and way up around Sac, but first choice is to find one closer to home (Clovis). A 2 or 3 hour drive one-way is no big deal.
Thanks for any help!

I've got a friend who works out of a home shop who came highly recommended by Dave Hiatt. I'm in Northwest Fresno and Jeff is not far from me. If you want to see his work, I've got my son's 440 sitting at my house right now. I'll PM you my number.

I've heard their name floating around but have never had any work done there. I believe they are in Elk Grove.

Shooot I forgot all about this thread. First of all, thank you Jim for the recommendation and conversation.. however, I ended up using Mike Silva of Silva's Automotive Machine in Fresno (was in Clovis). I got his name from a couple of racers and what really got me to check him out was it turned out his shop was right around the corner from mine; we were practically neighbors. Though he has moved to a Fresno location now.
I don't always like to give recs for places I've only used once, but that said his prices were reasonable, work quality was good and I had my short block machined and assembled in 4 weeks as promised. Good guy to deal with, good communication and definitely not one of those arrogant types...his one drawback is he races a Chevy:p:p:p
Thanks guys
