Console question
Yes they fit without much cutting with the hurst style shifter. Here is an auto console I pulled from a 4 speed car next to a 4 speed console. They didn't even cut it they just hung the carbet over it. In 71 they used a fiberglass cover in a couple cars.
This cover was from a 71 Demon console I bought . My car came with the floor mount cassette so I can't use a console it has a buddy seat. 67-69 was half of the cover made from press board. I never saw a console in a 70. only two 71's my hole life of buying these cars. And the were both Demons One 340 and one 318 Sizzler. I looked the console mounts were factory they were not welded in after the fact.
There will be guys that say no way. I have been strippng these cars since the 70's . I am going by what I saw not what someone told me.
