Trick Flow 240...

The HR article is a mess, the cam specs are different than the TF specs. Andy F built a 470 that knocked out 700 HP with the TF240 heads, that is well documented on HR Mag.

$1500 intake porting----------out of site for most of us !

Hi Andy, looking at the pics in this article, what valley plate is that? It looks like it covers the valley only and you can change intake manifold without disturbing the valley cover. I’m in Australia, where could I get one from? Thanks in advance

You can get the valley plate and gasket holders from Hughes Engines or Mancini Racing. Valley Plates | AR Engineering

I run a Wilson intake on my Duster. Just think of it as an investment. The intake doesn't wear out and the Wilson logo means you can sell the intake for a decent price if you decide to get rid of it.

Andy,
On my Trick Flow 240 headed 400 based 512, I am running a port/ gasket matched TM6 intake. I am running a hydraulic roller cam with 246/254 duration @ .050" and 618 lift. I will chassis dyno my '68 Barracuda once my clutch and motor are broken in. Two questions: Will a low deck Track Heat intake fit under a flat hood? Is it worth considering a Track Heat intake, powerwise compared to my TM6?
Thanks,
Glen

The Trick Flow intake will make more power than a TM6. I don't know if it will fit under your hood or not. You'll need to find someone local to you who owns a tape measure to sort that out.

Andy,
Sounds good. That's something I may experiment with in the future. I bought your book and found it very helpful regarding my 512 build (see my garage if you have time).

Thanks,
Glen

I bet , NO , I have a 440/505 with a victor intake on it , my throttle body is up in a 6 pack scoop . The low deck will only be about 3/4' lower than mine , maybe a little lower , ''I have raised port heads too" , ur air filter will be a problem too.

Famous Bob,
Thanks. That's good to know.
