A500/42RH in jeeps vehicles as 2wd ?... Don't even know if there ever where 2wd jeeps vehicles ???

one of AMC forums had it written up about a year ago. they were using it with a 258 I believe. were you looking with a Mopar bolt pattern?

The problem with Jeep v6-/v8 FOUR wheel drives is that at least some of them used a special bell pattern MOUNTING THE STARTER on the opposite side.

Could you special order a zj in 2wd?
Tons of them got 318 and 360 magnums.

Remember too that vehicles of this type were victims of Oh'bong-'ho's "cash for clunkers" project"

You could get Cherokees in 2wd through 2001, not sure about Grand Cherokees.
And don't forget postal Jeeps.

I’m not sure about the bellhoising pattern but..
Zj’s
Xj’s
Wj’s Could all be ordered 2wd. But those had the aw4 at least with the 4.0
Early jk’s Could be ordered 2wd also so that would be your best bet for a 42rh

Wish I knew, but I will say that trying to find a rebuilt ready to go A500/42RH for a 4x4 is impossible, only option is to have the one you have rebuilt. Does the 2wd version have the same issue? (not common but scarce)
