Need help with wire identification electronic harness!

In 67 with automatic trans, the brown wire from starter relay to neutral safety switch wasn't taped in a harness or through the bulkhead. It was a single stand of brown wire routed directly points A to B. I don't recall this brown wire going through bulkhead in any model.

That's what I used to think. But when saw examples where it was wrapped in with the batter to starter cable. I looked up the p/n and found this for for sale.
