I did. I learned a long time ago if you have something working great, and you change to be pretty, and then beat your head against the wall for 3 weeks trying to get it to work, just go back to being great. I know, the money. About 25 years ago I paid 375 for a 3500 GER converter. Worst performance investment in my history. I sold it for 75 bucks and put my old converter back in and called it "300 dollar education". I could give several other examples too.
