AMD parts. What I found out

Interesting.
All of this discussion and frenzy about the discontinued panels at half price makes me wonder...........
Is AMD actually going to discontinue ALL of the marked down panels forever?
My thought is that they are gauging the marketplace for the people that actually want the panels but can't afford them at the current full prices.
Furthermore, the market is driven by supply and demand.
Threaten to discontinue the panels and you create a buying frenzy like what is happening now, and it helps them clear out their warehouse just as they are building a new one. Smart move on their part.
Nice marketing tactic on their part I must say...........
I realize that they do need to focus on what parts move faster than others, (or barely at all) but if they didn't have a market for the parts, then why did they develop them in the first place?
Speculation?
Or real world studies about the demands of the marketplace?
Remember guys, they have the tooling and the means to make the parts whenever they choose to, so I think that this isn't the last kick at the cat so to speak.
I'm by no means a conspiracy theorist, but it makes you wonder what's REALLY going on in the background here........
Tariffs?
Nah, It's a white wash on that because if that was the case, that would affect every part they sell, not just the slower moving ones.
I still think it's a marketing study that's driving this and a chance to clean the house a bit and regroup a bit..........
My main tip off for this is that they are following through with the production af the '66 and '67 B-Body quarters and the '73 to '74 Charger quarters.
They won't sell a boatload of them at all, I just don't see it.
It ain't over 'till it's over from my perspective...........
JMHO, for what it's worth!
