3rd grade. The teacher had to pick 2 from each grade 1-5. I've said before she is artsy... this looks much better in person. You'd think a 16 yr old did it. She's only 9. Yeah, I'm a little proud.

You should be proud..... Your kid and I would get along. I used up many a pencil and paper drawing as a kid. She's got some talent. Let her go as far as she can with it....

Very nice! Kids with an eye for Art should be nurtured to pursue their gift. It’s a passion that will stay with them for a life time.

The last 4 years at our previous school, my wife was the pta treasurer, and then the president. Volunteer coordinator. The Kohl''s Cares liason. So you wonder if your kids get chosen because of it all. And sometimes I'm sure they did. So coming to a new school this year and not being so far up the system's butt, and to be chosen just confirms the talent is really there.

Talented for sure.. does she play an instrument.. it's been shown that many people with an artistic abilities have musical abilities or visa versa. Many times they go untapped for years. See if she has an interest in making music, it's a hell of a gift to give her.. I'm instrumentally fortunate, but can't draw a good circle :(.

No instruments yet. We tried to get her to start piano about 2 years ago. She's got the long thin fingers for it. Being in 3rd grade, she just got introduced to the recorder. She seems to like it. Our 23 yr old son, Jake, took to the clarinet pretty good after 3rd grade thru middles school - then soccer took over his life. And our 12 yr old son has no interest in music at all, other than listening to the radio sometimes. He does pretty good in art class when he wants to....lol
