What to set valve lash w/o cam card?
Finally, here are some pictures.
I removed the right valve cover today and seen variance in rocker #s there, also. All the lefts were #710 LT and the rights were either 710 RT, 710 T, or 79 RT. So, this removed my concern about the left bank variance. I made sure each set had the proper left and right rockers and they did. The rockers were in good enough condition to run....ain't broke, don't fix. And, I cleaned all the crust off of them.
Next, I pulled the left header off and verified my and Kim's thought of an exhaust leak. (See the picture). I used the REMFLEX graphite gasket to fix this issue. (I have used these before and highly recommend them.)
