The turbo 400’s are popular with the high and I mean high horsepower small tire power adder guys. SFI cases are available for both powerglides and 400’s. More gear choices at cheaper prices. I think Cope finally released a second gear leave valve body for a 727 but I’m betting it is 2-3 times more than one for a 400 turbo.

Well like I said, I never said it wasn't stronger, I asked for more info how you guys came to that conclusion. Dnj has a 727 Sfi case in development. Leah Pruett has said in her YouTube video that her drag pak car uses a turbo 400 only because the 727 case is the weak link. Perhaps that will change in the future with the Sfi 727 case. I know lots of modern Chrysler cars that are running turbo 400 because they think torque flights blow up lol, so can turbo 400,s
