Our big spring swap meet is shut down, the roadster show is shut down, Governors of both states banned any gatherings of 250 or more. It's feeling like we are living in nazi Germany, I understand being cautious but what happened to being allowed to think for ourselves?, or freedom?. I'm not being political I'm just stating a fact, I would like to have the option as a tax paying adult to decide if I would like to go to an event or not. Guess I will just buy a bunch of toilet paper and watch the news all day.

All school period, and grocery trips! This will cause mass chaos! The stores already seem empty of the basic necessities of life as the hoarders have it. This is really “stupid “ thanks to the connected life we live and the media!
 
My wife bought like 15 rolls of Clorox wipes last weekend, she went to Walmart and the shelves were stripped bare. She went to the Home Depot and seemingly bought the shelf. I sent her back with much of it. She or some have lost our minds! We “may” use 2 a year and makes no sense.

I dont like shaking hands w/ people anyway , right now I`ve got a good excuse at church, my left elbow is broke and in a cast , have a cup of coffee in my right in sunday school , and only hug my favorite tall blonde lady in church meet and greet !-----lol
 
There not going to cancel the sportsman racers, they already have there money & can't afford to refund it. LMMFAO!!!!!

FWIW I take precautions when needed as needed. It doesn't matter what the circumstance is.
I just don't get all unhinged going about it.
I get the feeling this country will really unravel with a real crisis.

I have a virus that is causing me to poop 8-10 times a day. The people working their butt off to make sure I can find toilet paper are hero’s to me.

I'm getting word from base they are sending people home. They are preparing to lock down Pendleton ...and that has many believing they'll close oceanside down after that.

It's all been hilarious to watch... but now I'm heading the store for some extras.
 
The scary part to all of this is how fast it spreads, that is the "hype". Normal "Flue" does not seem to be as contagious and mortality rate is about .1%. Covid 19 seems to be very contagious and it's mortality rate is about 2% or a little more. I do not think it is even a matter of "large crowds", I think it is air borne, that would explane some of the "community spread" cases that had no known contact with an infected individual.


I'm in the "at risk" category being over 60, I give my self reasonable odds I'll survive if I get it. My wife on the other hand, is dead, she has respiratory problems already, on O2 24/7, I spend a good portion of my day taking care of her, if I'm sick, she's sick. Then there is the case of my cats; who takes care of them, they deserve better than being put down in a shelter, or starving to death.

Whatever dude, think how you want,this kinda of thing has been going on for decades,its called natural selection. We have become to accustom to life, guess what, it ends,everyday,all day and not you or anyone else on this earth gets to say when. If it takes the government shutting things down to make some people realise they need to take precautions then we are all lost.
