A must-see episode for drag racers.. you got to see officer reeds dual quad tunnel ram!... Also imagine back in 72 he pulls off an 11.11.... the episodes all about Street racers and trying to get them onto the track... Some very sweet Mopars in there of course...

I had Adam 12 on season record just so I could save that episode.

They're saying tomorrow at 5 on MeTV they should have "the monkeys" on an episode LOL...
I did see an episode a few weeks ago where they pulled over a drunk driver. It was Otis the town drunk from The Andy Griffith show LOL...

Wonder whose decals they taped over on "Canyon"? Looks like Cloyes might have been one of them...

I'm a sucker for Highway Patrol, Dragnet, and Adam 12, liked those shows when I was a kid. Watching them now, I spot quite a few young faces that later became famous.

I like watching the older programs for the cars in the background, but adam-12 is always out on the highway and you see so many of them. It's a great show for car watching...

It's fun to watch season 2 and 3 where they switch back and forth between the 68 and 69... They drive by in a 68 and then the next thing you know they're in a 69 LOL same scene....

Kind of like Highway Patrol where it seems all the crooks seem to share the same car :)

The Adam 12 episode was shot at the now long gone Lions Drag Strip that was located near Long Beach Ca.

Not bad.
He made it from North Carolina to California.
That was before DUI checkpoints.

Season four also has a car chase with the GTO from 2 Lane black top. I believe the GTO appears twice. The 55 From 2 Lane also made cameo hidden in an alley while teenagers are burglarizing a warehouse.

How the drag racing episode was yesterday at 5:30. The first post on this thread shows the season and episode.. tomorrow's episode does the Monkees LOL I don't know what that's about...

Another show that’s great for car watching is Mannix. There’s an episode where he rents a 69 Charger R.T. looked to be Burnt Metalic orange. He has to pop the hood. Later in the show somewhere around season 4 maybe 5 he’s driving a 69 Charger that looked like they rolled yellow latex paint all over the car even the wheel covers. It looks so silly. I find myself also looking at the background shots of old movies and shows just for cars and old advertisements.

I think I found the Drag Race episode on Hulu, I will check into it tomorrow.

In the first show, which looks like it was a pilot episode, Reed and Malloy have a '67 Belvedere. Malloy gives Reed a speech about the car that's reminiscent of Elwood describing the Bluesmobile, only longer and more cop-serious.
The credits, however, show what was probably a brand new '68 that wasn't available when the pilot episode was filmed.

I think they started at the beginning of the year playing two episodes a night..

All of those episodes were supposed to be based on real case files,...........love to know who the real actors/perps/participants were!!! :)

The drag race episode is a great one. I don’t understand why the track owner was against the guys racing there. But they worked it out.
Another episode was on where they go to a driver training class to test out the new matador police car. The footage is pretty bad, they show a beat ‘69 Satellite black and white, but the inside car shots showed the inside of a matador. Watch the drivers hands, it’s definitely a professional driver, his hands never cross, cool stuff. Later in the same episode a criminal steals a brand new amx out of an amc dealership, after a long chase he crashes the car.
Was my favorite show when I was a kid. Still try to catch it everyday. They touched on some very hot topics of the time.
