I just picked up a '73 Dart Sport roller - planning on transferring the driveline from my crashed '73 Duster bracket car. While cleaning out years of all sorts of mess, I popped off the door panel and found, inside... a hefty pile of credit cards, membership cards, gift cards, etc. All were from 1999. More interestingly, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAD A DIFFERENT NAME ON IT! Clearly, this old girl has some stories to tell.

What are some of the weird things you all have found in recently acquired A-Bodies?

Found these rubbers in heater box of 69 a-100

Trevor, I would send the stuff you found to your local law enforcement, it indeed may clear up something from 21 years ago.

I found a Mac 10 machine pistol in a case with 3 full clips under the hood of a vehicle we were going to work on.

We found a loaded S&W .45 tucked near the master cylinder of a used car we bought at auction.
At first I thought "finders keepers" but quickly thought otherwise. We called the police and they came and took it. Said the serial numbers were removed. They also were nice enough to have the K9 sniff the car for us afterward. The buyer did a better job of not buying ghetto cruisers after that.

Was not in a car but....started working for the USPS in Jersey. One of the many things I had to do was dump Express Mail sacks. Was working with Joe Silvero one morning, I dumped a bag. One of the packages in it broke open. A pair of high heels, a rather provocative looking black dress...and this gigantic, thing had to be about 18" long about the diameter of a can of spray paint dildo were laying on the belt. We both burst out laughing....shook the Express bag a bit more...and out came the Polaroids...pictures ended up taped to a letter case in the manual letter area....

Buddy found 2 canisters screwed under the dash. Took them to the cops. They swabbed and tested positive for narcotics. Good thing he never travels to the states.
I found a wrench under the carpet in the back of my barracuda, looked like it was there for a very long time.

I found this dealer clipboard behind the back seat of a 1969 dodge dart, the car also had been sold at this dealership in Louisville Ky. It still had the dealership badge on the trunk lid, thought it was neat because that is also my last name. This is my brother and nephew with the car. We start em out young! This is my nephew today 18 years later!

Various combs, change, matchbooks, pens and paperwork under the glovebox in the dash. Best one was a turkey baster under the drivers seat, dont want to know what was going on there!

I'm working on restoring my buddy's 1965 Galaxie 500 XL. It hasn't been run (or opened except to store stuff inside) in 30 years.
So far I've found a green army man (crawling with rifle out front), what appears to be a special rock he found somewhere, what must be a copper fondue pot (?!?), a checkbook from 1989, and a really lovely card from his now wife from when they were first dating. He wanted the rock and the card...

I found a Yugo in the trunk of a 71 challenger, and the original spare tire was in there too.

First car I ever owned “a share of” with my brother was a ‘41 Plymouth. We bought it from an 80 yr old lady who’s husband had recently passed - and they bought the car new. She made us promise to return anything they might have lost in the car.

We got the car home and started cleaning and found a large pair of “granny panties” and a coin purse under the back seat. True to his word, my brother returned everything. The little old lady laughed and said, “I wondered where those went to.” After she saw how red-faced my brother turned, she quickly added, “My husband used them to wax the car.”

In the glove box was a Bazooka joe bubble gum still in wrapper, book of matches from a bar in the 80s, lip stick, check book and a fishing hook. I have them on display in glass jar in my garage still.

I bought a '79 T-bird at a Milwaukee county sheriff's auction to use as my pace car when I ran my first dirt track...1987.

The car was pretty dirty and I cleaned it before taking it to get painted and lettered.

I found a dozen or so doobies under the trunk mat....oil soaked and nasty. Found out it was used in undercover sting operations.

When I got my 72 Duster, the trunk was lined in the ugliest blue shag carpet (and by this point, the crustiest) and then inside there were a few golf balls and some great 1970s-80s coupon books. The car was basically dd until 1985ish then basically sat until 2015ish so when I got it so it was almost a time capsule.

Found a little pipe under the seat of my friends Econoline, 3 on the tree. We got rolled up on by 4 police cars when we were 'waiting' for some girls we met to come back out of their house. I guess the mom called the cops on us....so we get pulled out of my 65 Barracuda that we bought about a week prior and the cops find a little bottle of tape head cleaner, ie. isopropyl alcohol in the glove compartment. He's like "what the hell is this?" I said it looks like tape head cleaner..says it on the bottle? He tried to tell me it was alcohol none the less (scare tactic) and he was gonna haul me in for under aged drinking! I gathered up all I could and looked him straight in the eye and told him a whopper: "My Dad is a lawyer and he'll have your badge..." The cop stopped, threw the bottle back in the car and told us to beat it. "Yes sir!"
