Sway bar mounting

Hey Doc, I noticed on your mounts there is about a inch or two between the u channel mount and the axle tube. In 72bluNblu's photo the u mounts are more like a spring purch and move the mount almost touching the tube, looks like an inch or two

Mines not tightened down, it's just resting there in both pictures.

I was thinking that earlier as well that tightening everything may move it up some as well.
