Went out to get the newspaper this morning. As i saw the plastic covered newspaper glistening in the morning dew I thought to myself......."Say we have a newspaper boy/girl who has the Corona Virus" and has no symptoms. He or she puts the newspapers in the plastic bags to keep them dry then handles every single one to throw it into your yard, then the paper sits there in the temperate morning dew with the virus thriving in the wet/damp morning bliss. Then you go out and pick it up, go inside the house and hand it to your wife/husband who removes the wet/damp plastic bag. Now there are 2 more people who have just "possibly" been infected. You sit down and relax, read the paper, rub your eyes, scratch your nose, drink your coffee, etc.
This Virus is insidious! If you touch anything that isn't from inside your circle of trust, be aware that the virus can live for hours/days on certain surfaces, the wetter the better!!
I don't touch any door handles at any stores without gloves or a napkin or a Clorox wipe. I do my best to never touch my face when I'm out and about. I wash my hands as soon as I get home (2 or 3 times).

yeah, but its free toilet paper, so what are you gonna do ?
That's not a problem..........You can't get Corona by wiping you @ss......but be sure and wash your hands after you use the paper. Corona has to get into your "respiratory system" (nose, mouth, eyes??). You don't see people walking around with respirators on their @sses, at least not in Texas???

I still get the Sacramento Bee newspaper every day, (Well except or Saturday, today, as they stopped printing it on Saturday's), and i think your really over reacting with this "virus" being on the newspaper or the plastic wrap.
Haven't heard, read, anything like that in the news media.

not completely true
your but still has an orifice in it, so it is a possible place of infection, just much lower chance

just dont let any infect person kiss you down there

wouldn't be much different than touching anything in a grocery store, liquor store or gas pump nozzle. image one sick individual making fries or burgers at a fast food spot and shoving bag after bag out of the drive thru window. or Domino's delivering thousands of pizzas with a special covid19 topping

TRUE!! but at least the grocery items have only been touched by a few folks (stocker, delivery truck people)...it's those damn credit card readers with all the buttons that I avoid, not to mention ATMs!!

In that case ......All the Big Bosses need to watch out for the brown-nosers!!! LOL

Another observation............The doorbell just rang, evidently when the mailman delivers a package with the daily mail they ring the doorbell. I went out to the porch to get the mail and a plastic package that had been stuffed into the mailbox. Today is a misty (light rain) day so the letters and the plastic package were wet. Now I'm thinking.......if a mailman had Corona he/she could/does cover much more ground than the newspaper boy and can affect many more people.....................I hate it when the voices in my head go "silent", I know that they're planning something against me!!!:mob::poke: Yes, I washed my hands again!!!!

The new coronavirus can last on surfaces for up to three days, study says - CNN

That was a based on a study for what it could do (in a lab). Try not to over read into it.
Reporters often add in other info and opinion and anecdotes to make better reading.
Infection starts from respiratory. And the paper itself is hardly touched by human hands nevermind spray from sneezing. Take the steps after touching the outside to keep it away rom your respiratory tract. And if there was any viruses there, you wash them away.

I tried to tell my wife this stuff^^^^^^^^^^^, but she went ahead and subscribed to the paper again, got the first one this morning.

I put the newspaper on "vacation hold", and read it on-line. - That's just one less possibility, of catching the virus, in Our house. -- I, also, put this note on the door. ---
