i'm almost 69 and doing good. got guns loaded and placed in strategic places around house to take care of "tp thieves". told wife to keep do locked so boogey man don't get her.( he'd probably throw her back anyway). here in illinois the little fat guy put us on lock down. only essential businesses are open. i thought, boy this is good, staying in house and not having to do much except eat/nap. unfortunately she told me that i was "essential personnel and still had to work around house". now that the "old person" attempt at humor is over, how is everyone else? i am actually stocked up and working in garage trying to sort out my nos stuff and cleaning up yard and getting ready to till up spot for garden. just trying to lighten up someones day. here, one of the st louis radio stations is playing christmas music and someplace downtown stl has their christmas lights turned on. only other thing i can say is
"KEEP THE FAITH BROTHERS/SISTERS, WE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS". are you still selling/buying parts and sending them out. i am sure post office would be considered essential destination. what precautions are you taking when sending parts? what are you doing when receiving parts?

I definitely understand the honey do list around the house. Every day my wife has new chores for me to do. She did ask me to detail her car today so it will be an excuse to purchase and orbital car buffer :D

I think with shipping and receiving parts, just wipe them down. It's highly unlikely that the you will get it this way but just in case wipe down the surfaces with a lysol wipe or a disinfectant and you should be good to go. The 2 largest comorbidities to the disease are smoking and diabetes. Smoking causes lung problems where your lungs cant expand and mucous builds up and cant be expelled into your blood stream. Diabetes affects blood flow and decreases your bodies ability to heal (when diabetes isnt properly controlled).

Heres a clip from the NIH on the droplets.
"severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours, up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. The results provide key information about the stability of SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19 disease, and suggests that people may acquire the virus through the air and after touching contaminated objects."

Pretty bored. Straightened out a lot around the house, and garage. Now, it's just back, and, forth to the garage, and cabin.

Well i went to california for a wedding, three days later it was called off. They day after kansas health dept. called for a 14 day mandated quarantine for anyone that visited CA or colorado(i went through both). So i left there and came home with nothing to do. Me and the wife got the next 14 days paid off of work. My wife works for an independant grocery store. Her boss brought us some essential items. We have stock to get us through 6 months for winter and tornado season except parishables. I guess gardening and my machine shop said he would drop my engine off at the house when hes done. So my wife has a sweet to-do list in the meantime. Anyways sorry for the long story...just bored.

I'm also in Illinois and, Diabetic with asthma...I have had pneumonia around 9 times in my life..needless to say I'm fairly concerned about catching this stuff. I have been allowed to work from home for the last few days and, will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I'm trying to stay as far away from the masses as possible. On a lighter note I have cleaned out my shed and, will pull the trans in the Duster to fix my sons 3rd gear problem. Had to move both cars to get things situated to get the trans out so I snapped a picture. Hope this **** passes soon....so I can back down on my high alert....lol

We're good. Got a small stash of TP to get us through. I got more than necessary simply because the shelves are empty and when we found some, we bought it just because we don't know when it will be stocked regularly again. Took a good grocery store trip yesterday and now have a few weeks of food in place in case all the rumors come true. Probably BS but better safe than sorry.

I live in the country so luckily I get to bop around as normal. In the boonies no stop lights, stores or gas stations. I have a large problem with all the people / at spring break in Florida, one that was interviewed said he was partying and didn't care if it killed him. SO when they are done or out of money all of them will be coming back to their towns spreading it to all of us who have tried to not catch and spread it. BS!!!!!!!! Ski lodges are full up like normal so we are wasting our time in my opinion

Off next 2 weeks, but on call for 1st week. Been watching YouTube concerts while organizing in shop. Got mig welder fired up for practice and the wire drive motor took a dump:BangHead:
Gonna make a new picnic table for the bride. Anyone gone some cool but modest plans?
Stay safe all!

Picnic table sounds most excellent!
Found some stick on tile I had lying around and put it under the sink. Just doing minor projects that don't require going out.

Wife is getting her customary spring cold. Seen the doc, he does not think it is the "virus". He said that Plaquenil and a Z-Packs looks promising in halting the virus, so that is what he prescribed her. I am still concerned for her. I jokingly told him that I grew up up in the toxic pit of the country, Jersey...he laughed a bit....and said that with with all the Plaquenil I have taken I probably am immune to it....it is what it is...

BORED.. feeling well, we have everything we need for now, and for a few weeks. Just wish the weather would warm up so I can get into the garage. I have to build shelving in my garage, work to do on the car, and start landscape cleanup bullshit. Sold a couple bucket seats the other day. I dragged them out of my shed and placed them in the driveway. The guy paid through paypal and when he came for them I stood on the front porch and he took them from the driveway. A no contact sale.

Man this 24/7 with the wife has been tough....... on both of us. .. I moved the gun just in case she gets really pissed. :)

We are practicing a lot of social distancing but otherwise business as usual. The wife's jazzercise class closed so she found it on the interweb and still does it every morning. I am working as usual but being careful. Our customers have literally millions invested in our ability to provide the product we promised so now is pay-up time. The good is that all the systems are starting on time if not on budget. The bad is every sneeze is a worrisome thing and I have friends and family who are in the high risk category. More good is that I did yard work, shop work and washed my Barracuda yesterday for its trip to the muffler shop. Today is bright and sunny and I really want to cruise my Barracuda but I will wait until the exhaust work is done. And I don't want to get it dirty-too hard to clean in my advanced dotage.
Peace and safety to all my Mopar brothers and sisters-stay safe-----------Rat out----------------

I'm bored, restless with not much to do until it stops raining. IMO, people are taking this to the extreme, hoarding food & supplies. When this is all said & done most of them are going to regret spending the money on supplies it will take them a year to use, & canned food "has" a shelf life. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people end up getting sick from eating canned food that is 2 to 3 years beyond its shelf date. As Dennis Miller used to say, "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong".

Doing fine (so far) Spending a lot of time here since I retired a couple years ago. The weather isn't cooperating for getting outside for projects but the time is coming. We have some flowers peeking up through the dirt and leaves. I have been talking to a local contractor about some major roof and house repairs. Life can't stop turning because of the flu. I wouldn't want anyone to get it and I am careful when I go out to the store. Lots of hand washing and disinfecting. I have a product called Star San that I use to sanitize my beer brewing equipment. It works great and doesn't leave a odor or taste and is food safe. I have enough concentrate to make a couple hundred gallons. I can always brew some beer (which I have been doing) I have 7 or 8 gallons bottled and a stock of spirits and wine just in case as well as plenty of food in the pantry and freezer. Everyone stay safe out there.

Had church online this morning. About to clean up and head over to the shop to wrench on the car. I’ve been bored out of my mind during the week but as soon as this weather breaks I’ll be wetting a line and between fishing, Turkey season, and the dart I should be happy until deer season.

Finished jobs are stackin' up like cordwood the last couple weeks. Unfortunately the payments for it are not, and even die-hard car guys are apparently deciding it isn't a "priority." The abruptness and extreme nature of the shut down hit everyone by surprise I think.

Support small business if you can! We're counting on you.

I did my regular grocery shopping this morning, figuring the supermarket would be opening the regular time on a Sunday morning.
Figured that i would get there at opening time.
Well i did, already a long line waiting to get in, and then they weren't going to open up till 7:00 am.
So i went back home and waited out the hour, as i live quite close to the store.
I got what i normally do, but was still surprised what they are completely out of.
As expected, no toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizes, cleaning supplies, very few laundry cleaning items.
I don't know what's going to be happening, if this keeps on dragging out.
But I'm getting along.
Getting bored, and finding i walk around the block, by myself, more times during the day.
Maybe i could loose a pound, or two, or three.
JV.

Long time before this will be over realistically, theme parks, county fairs, concerts, and large outings will prolly ( should imo) be non existent till at least the next school year comes around!!! Don't want to be Debbie Downer, but from the information I have read and been hearing from family medical professionals that's what needs to take place. Hopefully the warm weather will cut down on the spread of it

Business as usual work wise. My wife's an RN (30+ years) and my company is considered essential. Nice having the twins home from college, though they're going a bit stir crazy. One picked up some hours at Home Depot other ones gig is on hold. Been cool hanging and watching movies with them. So silver lining ;)

I'm fiddling with my Turkey gear and organized the deep freeze to make room for more birds if I get a few again this season. Thawing some butterflied backstrap steaks for dinner tonight.

May load up a few boxes of deer loads later. Even thinking about dusting off the 6 strings, restringing a couple and firing up an amp tonight. Will see if I can remember any tunes lol.

Be well folks
Pat

Normal day to day routine, went to the grocery store on Saturday with the wife for our weekly supplies.
I'm going fishing on the Clearwater today, nothing but me and the swift running river.
I'm getting out more this year with all the sports being shutdown.
Fishing is better than sitting around watching the national news and Nascar.

I work for a small business in the construction industry. At this point I am more afraid of what it is going to do to the economy than the virus itself.

I have enough projects to tide me over for a year it seems. My 17 yr old was exposed by a family member that works at the hospital so now he's quarantining away from me. Not sure when I'll be able to see him again. I have asthma and am my elderly mothers only contact so I can't risk getting this.

Stay safe and healthy my friends. I'm not sure what I'm more afraid of? the actual virus or the line of people out the door at the gun shop?

Sorry about your son, we wish him nothing but the best!

Also the virus isnt a constitutional right so that's what I'm more afraid of. Sucks having to wait in line at the gun shop lately though.
