340 to 360 production transition

If you are looking to stroke a small block I personally nowadays would go with a 5.9 Magnum.

Couple different reasons one is the fact that it is a roller cam block. And another thing being that there are plenty of them available at the moment at a decent price. And when I say decent price I mean you can buy the whole truck for 500 to $1,000.

Bore the Magnum .040 and that's the same as a stock bore 340 then throw the 4-inch stroker in it. I really don't think you'll be too concerned about the bearing speed difference between the 340 main journal and the 360.

Maybe if you were trying to make 600 horsepower out of it then you would be concerned.
