Does this need to be Replaced?
I'm working my way up from back to front. I've made it to the torsion bar crossmember. All 4 tires on strong cribbing blocks I made. I also made a flat block of wood to sit under the trans pan when I unhook the trans crossmember.
1. Does this rubber in the trans mount need replacing? If so, best place to buy it and how difficult? I do not own a lot of tools, no shop press, etc.
2. Can I take off this tail weight? I just want to clean up the tunnel a little farther. Then I can just put it back on? It looks pretty straightforward.
I can't find anything in the service manual I bought about either of these. My car is a 1975 Valiant/Scamp, 318, 904 trans.
