Is anyone sick or know anyone

I was tested yesterday, got back results, and I have it. No big deal to me....a small fever, and a sometime cough, and gastrointestinal issues..
Wife had it as well, but we are both just about over it. As I posted, there are probably lots more cases that people have no idea about. Just writing it off as something else. We are fine....
I'm glad you said this first.
I'm kinda wondering if the wife and I haven't also had it.
We both got the low grade fever, dry cough, sore throat and the lower gastrointestinal thing.
That was mid February. Lasted about 5 days, then we were fine.
I figured it was creeping crud and sucked it up.

Wow!
I had the exact same thing in February. I ended up going to the doctor, as I am an at risk person, and they told me it was just allergies, and to use Flonase and Zyrtec d. Then, roughly a week and a half later when I was not feeling any better they called in a z pac for me. I took that, it helped some, but even now I still have some minor symptoms. I never had headaches, no fever unless it was very low, but I had a cough, a little pressure in my chest, a scratchy throat at times, and the digestive symptoms they are talking about. I still have this strange feeling in my chest at times, but otherwise I am ok. But I have been taking vitamins every day, elderberry, taking Zyrtec d again, and using nose spray. I thought it was just seasonal allergies brought on by all the rain we have gotten.

^^ I have had the same thing for a couple weeks BUT I am sure mine is allergy. Tree pollen has been and is NUTS here!! PIne tree pollen is he and probably bothers none, but oak will give you fits and if sensitive to cedar, it can make you real sick!

May I ask your ages, MT? At least approximately? Glad to hear this is mild for you. What prompted the tests?

Glad to hear that you, and your wife are ok. Here is the problem with this virus. Were either of you around an at risk person. In Missouri, the largest age group diagnosed with the virus, is 20-29. Young people have a tendency to not take into consideration how there actions effect others.

I hope any that are afflicted with this recover without any lasting effects. I think we still don't know the real scope of what is to come. While some in out government keep touting there are plenty of test kits to go around. St. Louis (most populous city in Missouri) just received TWO test kits in the last allotment. I'm sorry but how the hell are they going to decide who gets tested?

The kit allocations are going to have to be based on where the worst outbreaks are, until more kits are available.

Here in VA, you get tested if your doctor says you ought to be. That won't show the whole spread by any means, but it is the strategy that has to be used with limited testing capacity.

Temperature screening is the next step in broad screening of large segments of the population.

Houston tests health care givers first, then I believe firefighters cops, then those that have true symptoms.
I forget liquor store clerks.

Unfortunately, this is symptomatic of all sorts of flu's. So no way to really know.

In mid-Feb, I was checking the numbers of confirmed cases, and on Feb 16, there were 14 confirmed cases in the US and none confirmed in Ohio. The Washington state outbreak was growing at that time, but it had not been fully figured out that it was spreading.

Yesterday my wife sister in law was told that her test results shows that she has the virus. Probably caught it at church last Sunday along with several others. She is at home but we are concerned not only about her but also about the other members of the household that must take care of her. She and her husband are both retired with some underlying problems.

60 years old. my wife is 59. What prompted the tests, I was in a high risk environment, A fair, then Las vegas, and I got sick. my mother in law lives with us, 85, and I wanted to make sure we were clean. We isolated ourselves separately, I stayed in our 5th wheel, wife in our bed room area... Tri city ran the test, two of them actually...

A coworker where my wife and son work tested positive for it last Thursday. They closed the building for Friday through the weekend to deep clean, alerted all the persons he remembers being in contact with and reopened the building for the remaining essential employees to return this morning. As my wife and son are state employees in payroll they are expected/needed to continue to work. My mother said a coworker of hers father passed away last week from it in Washington state.

Where I live in southern Kali know one I know is sick or been sick or knows anyone that is or has been sick, just curious.self quarantined now for two weeks, retired High risk 100% disabled vet
Nobody I know would refer to themselves as living in "Southern Kali". Are you a new resident? It is like the guys that call San Francisco, Frisco.
Me? I feel great. No signs of any sickness.
