Restored one today that is my favorite so far. I just love the colors and the Art Deco feel of it. Might have this one printed as a poster...

Art Deco is my favorite style...always has been. There is just something about it that appeals to me. I have dozens of images I have done in that style and a few of them are among my favorites of all that I have done in any style.

Art Deco has a certain style for sure, tall, thin, rounded with linear lines mixed in and layered angular textures. Very graphic in style.

Frank Lloyd Wright was very Art Deco in his style. The home he built named “Falling Water” is a masterpiece and one of my favorites of everything he did.

If I suddenly had unlimited funds, I would make it a life mission to buy that Falling Water Home and live there for the remainder of my life. It is absolutely brilliant in design and inspiring to have the river running under the house and cascading down the falls 24/7.
Wonder how the fish are biting there...

I restored a bunch of other magazine covers today along with the one I posted earlier. None as good as that one, but I think they are all cool anyway.
Not to nit pic, but he did not build anything. He drew plans for a certain look, then a structural engineer had to make it work. And that one was a real pain I have heard
Fallingwater was built by local craftsman from Fayette County.
But I agree it is impressive..

One of the guys at work does free hand paintings. He’s working on a cool painting for me using the old barn at the farm and all three of my projects. Can’t wait to see it
We have Cedar Rock a couple counties away. I need to go see it sometime.

Being a “builder” never means swinging the hammer. It is describing the architect and/or funder of the construction. No modern “builder” of homes does any actual construction themselves, they just procure the land, organize the contractors and fund the project. The modern ones don’t do the archetucture or engineering either, they contract it.
I can barely see them. How do you know they don’t have hair?
