Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm escaping to my shop to play a new 45, never played one on my turntable yet. It's a song by Mick Jagger with Ry Cooder, bought it on Ebay from oversees. Song is called "A Memo from Turner". Thought I had found the version with the awesome slide guitar on it, turned out to be another version I didn't like as well.

Wife has been talking about corona, people in general, and so forth. I just figured out how to shut her up!View attachment 1715495116noise cancelling to boot!!

But but but... no I hear ya.

I got scolded for being too efficient the last two days. They couldn’t believe how much I got done from home Tuesday and Wednesday. I told them it was because I didn’t have a bunch of nosey engineers interrupting me every 5 minutes with stupid ideas like putting a 3/4 inch diameter bolt in a 1/8th inch thick piece of aluminum...

I reviewed some engineering packages, then due to outdated pics on our share drive was unable to complete correctly. The bean counters are nervous I'm sure, glad I don't have to worry about that, just work. Loaded an ap on my phone for a piece of equipment that REQUIRES it as a part of boot up to assign an IP address, what a great idea....NOT!

I’m consulting for a consumer product company that makes personal care products. They were about to make 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer as their first run that didn’t meet the FDA guidelines for COVID-19. I got them straightened out and reformulated the recipe for them.

Getting 20 bottles for free as a bonus over my consulting fees.

A nice gift, but making sure that the product is safe and effective against the virus in my true reward. I wouldn’t want any product to go out that wasn’t effective like it should be.

Now that they have it right, the next run will be 50,000 bottles and they will put that much out every 2 weeks as long as the demand requires it. Materials are hard to get, so they are adapting and scheduling manufacturing as they can get supplies coming in door.

To bolster the deployed Med units? For domestic use? Both?
Both would make good sense.
Problem is... most of these types are civilian healthcare workers, doctors, nurses etc. pulling them back to duty will only pull needed staff from the civilian side, it really doesn’t help matters substantially

The difference is that you troubleshoot.
Not many people can.
I would add that not many are willing to fail in order to learn/master something either. I would know, I fail a lot. But generally I learn from my mistakes

Good point :realcrazy:
Yep it’s why you’re not seeing a full scale rollout of the National Guard in this case. Most Guard med units are 85-90 percent or more, civilian healthcare workers. So trying to supplement the civilian hospitals with Guardsmen and women is actually not gonna be a net gain worth the trouble.

Expect a review you get back in. :)

There's learning and there's understanding how to troubleshoot.
Frank knows how to troubleshoot even when there seems to be a lot of possibilities.
We get guys on the forums that can't even begin to troubleshoot even when the possibilities can be narrowed quickly.
For example, look at how many posts just at FABO where someone has to ask "do the headlights work,? do any pof hte lights work?"

A persons mind has to work that way. Some can, some cannot.....trouble shoot...

Yeah, the beginning of knowledge is the recognition of ignorance...and correcting it.

I have always said that ignorance is a condition corrected with education, stupidity is a choice that is only supported by indignant persistence of ignorance.

It’s not hard to understand the difference.

After two of the original hubcaps went missing, I didn't know what to do with the remaining pair. I ended up giving them to RobMopar since he's been pretty generous giving me stuff. Doubt this car will ever run steel rims again, but I still have the originals - all five. Used the spare once.
