Will the fan being that close to the radiator not cool as well at highway speeds? It seems to stay at 195* in town but highway cruising the temperature has climbed to ~130*.
I believe your fan is too close the radiator and not allowing the air to flow properly. The blade needs some room from the radiator and the fan blade needs to be 1/2 way in the fan shroud and 1/2 outside the shroud, this will let the fan pull the air properly. The Hayden’s hub I bought is a Hayden 2947 Heavy Duty Thermal , it is 2 3/4” from front to back in depth.
I installed a new replacement Spectra Premium cu5526 radiator, 6-vane water pump, MP viscous fan kit, added the Detroit Muscle Technologies hood to radiator support seal, new upper and lower hoses (with the spring in the lower), and yes I'm using the factory shroud.
