72 Demon Interior Options

Was the tuff steering wheel available as an option on a 72 318 demon? Also did the rally dash make it into 72 demons at all? 340s maybe and the old rectangular dash for all other cars? How about the long woodgrain console, was that an option on say a 318 72 demon? Thanks!

Tuff Wheel- Yes, available as an option because it was a Demon.
Rallye dash- Nope, not even the 340 cars for '72, they all got the square gauge. Last year was '71 for the Rallye dash. Is it possible a couple of very early cars got one? Well, I wouldn't say it's impossible given Ma Mopars reputation of using up leftover year parts. But officially, no.
Console- Yes, but only for automatic equipped cars with bucket seats already selected as an option. No for manual transmissions.

Yup, it's all there.

I just wish you could advance from one page to the next in those brochures without having to go back a page to the menu screen first. I'm not a web guy though, so I don't know how hard it would be to change that.

I always wondered about that. My guess is that the big cost for the factory would be the dash harness. Tooling for everything else already existed - stamping for the dash frame, injection mold for the cluster. Likely a low percentage of total A body production got the Rallye dash, not enough demand to keep the option maybe?

This is too bad. Does anyone know if full on reproductions of the ralley dash are available? I know the outer skins are from pg, but does anyone sell the entire assembly?
