Aluminum bumper brackets, a new offering

-
Thanks Motörhead, who makes a decent 74-76 glass bumper?
Has anybody tried them with a steel bumper less impact bar?

GlassTek makes a nice bumper. Tell them Lingenfelters brackets sent you if you order from them.
I have made brackets for the 73 duster/DS in .190" thick for steel bumpers. I have not made them for the later models. The bolt pattern at the bumper for the 74 up is patterned after the 73 so they probably will not match up with the 74 up.

Thanks Motörhead. When I reach that point I’ll be in touch. Doing the research now.

I received my 64/65 Barracuda/Valiant lightweight brackets and bolts from Lingenfelter today. The brackets are things of beauty! If you want to shed some weight on your car I recommend Lingenfelter brackets and Jeff is a great guy to deal with too.

Motorhead -What do the 73 Duster .190 look like for steel bumpers?

Anything for the 73-76 Dart Swinger, front and back? Any chance they are offered in the shorter version to pull the bumpers up to the body?

I just returned your private message. I do have a really for the 74-76 Duster, Dart sport and dart swinger now and it is adjustable to take up space of the filler panel. I'm sorting out some details of the differences in the fronts of those three models. I believe since the swinger has more point in the bumper my bracket needs to be longer. I have a fix for it.
The bolt pattern is set for a 73 Duster front.
I'd like to get a 74-76 dart and duster bumper shell so I can make a plate to fit the factory holes.

Ugh wish I’d known that. I literally just scraped my 74 dart bumper last month. Couldn’t give that away.

That said, there’s a junkyard local to me with a 74duster with a straight bumper, I can grab it after Christmas for ya if you like

Where are you located? I'm interested I'd like to get one for dart and duster if you know of any. Thanks, Jeff

Motorhead- I'm sure you know, but there are two different bumper support setup's used in 74. Most 74's did not come with the bumper filler and shocks. Most came with the brackets and the bumper already tucked in. 75 and 76 had the filler and shocks, but in 76 then you had the "Light" cars with bumpers that were shaped different with more holes located in slightly different positions. Just some info

I appreciate this info more than you can imagine. I have been trying to figure out the differences in these years of 74-76. I am trying to accommodate all of the options for my customers. Thank you!

Does anyone make the rear bumper brackets in aluminum for a 71 Demon? I have a fiber glass rear bumper attached with the steel brackets I would like to replace.

Motorhead- the maroone car is the way most 74's came- notice the bumper is tucked in, and the other pic's show the brackets from the under side. The red one is a 76 Feather Duster with the bumper filler (holes slightly different.) Some 74's came with a similar filler and the shock mounts.

So most of the 74s are like the 73s? That's how the 73 is set up, two PC bracket on each side.

I can agree with his information. My 74 dart front bumper did NOT have the crash shocks however, the rear bumper did. I also found that on my 74, the bolt holes on a pair of your 70-72 dart lined up perfectly on the frame rails. I was swapping over to a 70-72 glass bumper.

From what I’ve found, it’s the 74s that were built in calendar year 1973, fall of 73 thru mid 74 were the same as the 73. Late run 74s were like the 75s.
