Awesome Video - Basement find 1970 Hemi Cuda...149 Miles and other Mopars

Cool video with a great story.
I agree that the Hemi out of the 'Cuda should go back in the GTX convert.

So is this correct? "We" took an engine that has been sitting for years and decades, and started it up cold and then just revved the **** out it? Is that about right?

Yeah, I didn't think that was a very good plan as well...........

I havta give 'em credit looks like they did a heck of a job cleaning up that car

Since it started up right from the get go,I'd assume that they prepped the motor before starting it but who knows what happened before the video started.

That's an amazing find and personally I'd leave the Hemi in the Cuda since it's been in there since the car was practically new and was a big part of the cars racing past.Putting the stock motor back in would be like erasing it's history,IMO,kind of like putting the stock wheels back on instead of the mags and slicks and sanding off the lettering and artwork.
The GTX could be put back on the road with a replacement Hemi engine and just enjoyed like that.Lot of people pull their car's original engine and install a 'fun' engine that they can use as intended without worrying about accidentally damaging the numbers engine. If you owned both cars then you know where the original motor is anyways.

Talk talk talk blab blab blab....just shut up and show the cars. dang.

That cuda is rare with out the hemi, I bet there is not many 440 6-pac column shift cars made.

Awesome cars, Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. I would put another Hemi in the Cuda. The GTX deserves to be built and shown/driven. U know they did a lot of work to get that Hemi to fire. U noticed they didn’t show the motor when it was fired up, who wouldn’t. There is always more to a story than meets the eye. They have to embellish something. Kim
