Hi all
Im having some issues or questions with the RF retro moper wiring kit, my issues stem around the factory column wiring and the RF instructions

here is my main question

Can anyone help me with the ignition connector for my 72 dodge dart demon column key
10 gauge red is power in for the battery
10 gauge black does what
10 gauge blue goes to Ballast
10 gauge brown goes to coil side ballast
10 gauge yellow goes to starter relay
18 gauge black goes where orange on the dash side
2 x 18 gauge red wires go where black on the dash side

And when I use this wire do I disregard the the brown and orange wire from the fuse box

Thanks for ur help

Can you post a link to the Francis documentation? Or take a photo/ scan it and post it here?

Offhand orange wiring is generally dash dimmer controlled lighting, so that would be your shift quadrant lamp

What I'm getting at is what is it that you think is different with the Francis end? (In other words I have no idea what Francis did) I would guess it is "fairly universal" due to differences in models. Without being able to view the Francis end of the thing documentation, I have no idea. Do you have a factory wiring diagram? (MyMopar.com)

Here is a shot out of the 72 manual

The bottom pin by the way is the horn wire, and interfaces with the "key in" buzzer circuit

I understand the above but RF kit has a brown and orange from the fuse box and a red and lgt blue wire leaving
I think this is for a GM switch
What should I do just by pass this and use the above or what

I already told you.........without the Francis end documentation, there is no way to know. So either find a link to the Francis "book" or post the viable section out of the manual that they gave? you, or call / email Francis.

Sorry,

IIRC there is no Mopar-specific RF harness as it is based on GM wiring.

Many of the aftermarket replacement ignition switches have a extra smaller gauge black wire in the port where factory had placed the orange wire. Easiest fix it just use male female spade connectors to make up the orange connection beside the main connector. Let that extra black wire dead end where it is. Not all models have or use that extra smaller black wire.
If anyone has wiring diagrams for F-body, C-body, whatever that shows this 6th wire ( 18 ga black ) coming from ignition switch being used... I would love to learn where it went/what it was for.
