Insure or not

Just go for the bare minimum and upgrade when you plan to drive it! It only take a phone call to upgrade.
BAD IDEA! As one who used to sell insurance, VERY BAD IDEA. You'll not only get higher rates doing it that way but if that becomes a cycle, they can and often will kick you off, which gets attached to your name and ssn in the national database for ALL other insurance agencies to see, which will result in even higher rates at another company.

Your best bet is to go thru a place like JC Taylor or Haggerty where from like April thru September, your classic is insured for driving, then in September(or what other month you negotiate) it rolls automatically into storage insurance.

Haggerty quoted for 247 bucks for 100/300/100 limits and an agreed value of 15,000 for total loss of vehicle. for the year. With a 8,000 mile limit per year.
