New 408 build finally started

In post 179 you mentioned using the Indy 360-1 style intake gasket for marking the ports in this head. Doesn't that mean you made these heads just as wide at the pushrod and now require the same rocker offset as the Indy 360-1, at around .800" offset? I am just spitballing here. Hope I do not make it more confusing. Really want to see this one completed.
Good technical posts like these, even when things don't go exactly as planned, are very interesting to me. Better for reading along than most books.

Hmmm. I have a set of 360-1 T&D 1.6 rockers on my shelf I bought from a guy on Moparts that had an engine blow on a dyno. I was planning on upgrading the Indy 360-1 rockers on my 422 when I rebuilt it. If I get the itch today after my walk I will grab those rockers just for some test fitting. Thanks for the suggestion as I want to have all angles covered when I call Harlan Sharp hopefully later this week.
