The pad doesn't cover entire top of the dash. Where dash is exposed, defrost vents, all need to be flat/suede finish. Glossy or metallic would reflect on the lower to middle part of the glass we look through. I suppose you could rework the body to stand the glass up vertical.
for what its worth, Glossy wont work on a package shelf either.
