New 408 build finally started

So I've had my own strange issues in the past that I've had to work through and have been following this one a bit. I've dealt with the pushrod pinch on a number of different heads.

Looking at your new rockers and then looking at these, I think there is some to gain from different rockers.68z3fPy6E-dXrHsap38uxp7N9mCk5sPLLwkJCMIQ63ocfL5dXGjSawtbbJWcuH5WQjWNWCR3i37soaaoT3DqWJDDLVb-XSMQ.jpg

At this point, I believe I would stop, get the rockers with the max offset that I can - or that I'm comfortable with the pushrod laid over - keeping in mind that I'm loosing lift. (My W2 stuff is all gone so I can't help with parts.)

Do what I need to do to the head (if anything) to get the pushrod in - that's the purpose of the exercise - and then fix the head. Too much work and potential to throw them in the corner.

As far as the other issue, I've become OK with walking away from folks who aren't on the same page as me and/or expect me to carry them while they screw off someplace. Don't want to participate? That's fine. I have s#!^ to do, I'll see you. Family doesn't get an exception. This racing stuff isn't easy and it doesn't go along with hanging in the bars and sitting on the sofa. You're either motivated or you're not. Lazy people are a distraction.

I'm only a couple of years behind you. I don't have a lot of time to pi$$ away on foolishness.
