I have a 69 Barracuda that has a lot of air noise from the wing windows while I am driving. Drives me crazy. The rubber looks old, but is still pretty flexible. I know the obvious answer is to buy new seals, but will that solve the problem? I am worried that if I spend the money on the seals that it still won’t solve the problem due to other structural 50 year old car issues and adjustments. Seems like I remember the same problem back in the day when I had one that wasn’t so old.

Has anyone solved this problem by replacing the seals or some other clever (and cheaper) fix?

I am just about to silicone them shut, as I have a/c and don’t use them anyway.

An easy way to tell if the new stuff will fix it is to tape all around the glass to door area and drive it. (electrical tape)
If it's quiet or quieter with the tape on it then there's a good chance new seals will do it.
Of course there cars had issue's with the wind blowing over not very aerodynamic surfaces also. (especially the side window area's)
Try the tape.

Having same issue on my 68 Barracuda .
I have taped the wing to a-pillar gap , the door to fender gap , the windshield to a-pillar , the top of windshield and molding .... stuffed foam in between the door/fender/cowl area....
Still an air whistle unless I open the wing a bit .

That's what I meant about air noise not attributed to an actual air leak.

Great idea. I did this experiment today with some clear packing tape. I taped up the wing window first, drove it, taped up the front of the door frame by the wing window to the a pillar, drove it, and then taped the top of the window to the upper molding. All were done on the inside. After each run, the wind noise improved. It still had some, seemed like it was coming from below the window level. This looks like it will be an ordeal to solve.

I'd be willing to bet your noise is caused by the fender to door air gap and the noise is getting through the door molding.

Have you removed the door panels to see if there is plastic attached to the door to seal it behind the panels?

No plastic there but I did cover the door with dynamat right under the door panel. I think it is sealed up pretty good. I did feel air coming out from the remote mirror control.
