So I have my car in a friend's garage,Now I can not work on it because his wife is afraid they will catch a virus from me working out there while they are in their house,
Unbelievable .
Very frustrating and aggravating.

That sux... but I guess, their house, their rules applies here. Hope this **** runs it's course soon man. Hey, you could use the down time to order more parts! LOL

Be well,
Pat

I got no problem with it,
you can come to my garage and work on my car anytime you want.

She may have a point. YOU don't know if you picked up the bug from your trip to the parts store, the gas station, or the grocery. Then you go to her house. The thing that is gonna stop this mess is no contact with other people. Unfortunately the grocery store is pretty much necessary, and I'm not sure I trust them very much.

That is a tough spot to be in. However, I’m assuming they were nice enough to let you keep your project at their house. They’re just asking for a little help from you to keep everyone safe. I will say, this is a great time to get work done.

Exactly.
Our local Safeway put up plexiglass panels between the customers and the checkers.
The Governor issued a stay at home order for the entire state of AZ the other day.
Took em long enough considering how this virus moves.

while Im sure its frustrating, but like others have said its best for everyone involved.
the sooner people figure out they need to stay home and away from everyone. the sooner we can get back to normal.

Yeh. Meanwhile, Idaho has one of the worst increase rates recently. This indicates to me that folks are not taking this seriously. You may remember I told my workplace that I will be GONE

Not as easy as saying it,but I am working on it.
I understand somewhat, but I still do not agree in this particular situation.
I understand and respect his position,I will just have to make changes to best suit my needs as well.

It looks like nearly everyone commenting missed the part where he is working in the garage and they are in the house! The only risk of transmission there is if 1) he is infected AND 2) deposits virus secretions on an object AND 3) they handle it within a couple of days AND 4) they don't disinfect their hands before touching their face.
Let's not overreact here.

Depends, doesn't it? Is the garage separate? Is any of the family wandering out there to the garage for any reason? And nobody knows if this "6 ft" thing is actually effective, or just some number that some expert dreamed up.

NOBODY is coming to my shop or house! In this PLANET changing event we are breaking it down to whether the OWNERS will come out and touch something in THEIR garage? Really??
Some people need to put big boy pants on.
When you own the garage, they will do what BEST suits them. Whether rent is paid or not. Smh...

Looked like you were making good progress on your engine bay prep and painting. Right now we all have to focus on making sure everyone is safe. Many of us are realizing we have to be more flexible with our goals right now, but like doogievlg said your car and new 360 will still be around when we get through this; right now just need to make sure you and your friends are as well.

Personally I don't think the 6 foot thing means squat.
What if there is a breeze and an infected neighbor sneezes or coughs up wind from you?
