Lots of stores up here have plexi-glass barriers at the checkouts, and tape lines on the floor at 6ft increments, and staff watching to make sure you stay in line.
Same here. People are just plain stupid. Post Office had plastic hanging from the ceiling to the counter, with just enough space to slide a letter under. Friend has a convenience store. I went the other day and put up some plexi-glass in front of the cash register.
