Putting Headers on my Slant- I took the intake and exhaust manifold off, and the linkage connects to the exhaust manifold which wont be there now. Do I need a Lokar setup? Or is there a custom piece that would connect to my factory 1 bbl intake?

just a heads up, this isnt a ford, you can not drive without the lockdown linkage and get by with it, you WILL fry the transmission

carry on

Hey, yes you would need a aftermarket kickdown set up, depending on what year your car is i know you can run lokar bracket only with a fourbarrel carb, with the cable operated transmisson pressure kickdown,

but you can use your intake manifold and use two long bolts thread them into the intake with a tap kit using the two holes you have, and two new nuts to adjust the height by tightening them up and down the bolt. And bolt your stock kickdown bracket on it

Or if you want to get classy you can always fab up a thick steel plate that has the carbs hole bolt pattern and make something.
