1969 Dodge Dart - Engine Hood Pad

IMHO, the only reason there was ever a hood pad was to make the car quieter for people outside the car. The negatives are a blanket of insulation that holds in engine heat, and a magnet for dirt the slowly sifts down while you drive and ends up in your air filter (and all over everything else). The longer you have it, the more you will hate it. All you have to do is remove one from an old car to understand what it comes to contain.
lmao, perfect, "you think you hate it now, wait till you buy one"! Reminds me of the Chevy Chase movie Vacation and new car scene at the dealership. Needed that laugh.
