For the record I am not a tool *****. I have no idea why the fancy Snap On truck showed up at my home shop. Make no mistake my wife bee lined to the shop to ensure nothing was going down! Not that I would troll her or anything.

Looks like time to shop always need another tool to stuff in the box.

A smart guy would of course then include a pix of the bumper attached........ Well I started pouring a toddy then I turned up the Cody Jinks then I poured another toddy, then I sat down and well I spaced it. Trust me when I say it looks great! I will get a pix tomorrow when I go back out. I am whipped, it has been a long day. My C-19 tolerance meter is just about pegged. This environment is crushing small businesses. Breaks my heart, a dear friend called me this evening trying to sort out a survival business plan. Sucks. Rant over, apologies.

This is one heck of a build! And a big shout out for Cody Jinks, I’m listening to him now as I type this!

Humans go with the three S rule, shoot, shovel and shut up!
Hemi goes with the three B rule,
Bark, Bite, and Bury! Kinda the same thing really!
LMAO AND STILL LMAO
You getting this ice rain down there yet not looking good this way.

I didn’t put the center caps on yet as I just have the wheels hanging trying to sort out the stance. Had to purchase longer upper ball joints to help the geometry. So tore apart front suspension yet again. Had to anyway as the knuckle head painter got over spray on all my shiny new powder coated K frame parts. Any words of advice on how to clean up all the over spray my body work genius friend? For those that don’t know Fred has been doing body work and paint for a zillion years. Check out his build thread. You might even see an airplane in his shop getting painted! He has crazy body and paint skills. Hah! Shameless plug for ya Fred!
Like CudaChick said, lt's just paint BUT... Its a lot more chemical resistant than the paint on your Demon. Don't drench it in lacquer thinner. Wet a clean soft rag with the thinner and rub the overspray vigorously but only for a few seconds and let it dry for a while and repeat. It will take several attempts depending on how severe the overspray is. It still could dull the finish or try the rubbing compound like CudaChick suggested.

So starting back on finished assembly, need to change over oil sump. The bolts are new fancy torque to yield so I purchased new ones rather than reuse them. I went with Milodon but fully recognize that many folks on here are not fans of them. All I know is I have used several Milodon pans and never had a problem. I took the pix of the packaging as it has the part numbers on it for the modern swap. Make no mistake getting that sorted out is a major pain. I think the knowledge has gotten better but I struggled getting good info. The long stud in the pix is the one you have to remove to attach the oil pickup in the new location. And oh by the way the factory bolts will not work going back into the oil pan. You need.5 shorter ones. Just more of those really cool tidbits that just keep getting in the way.

After two calls to Milodon tech services this week who assured me repeatedly that my parts were correct and it will all bolt up. I attacked the oil pan and windage tray today. Attached are the pix of my Milodon center pump debacle. What a poop show. Donor car was a 2010. The block is an 08 we think. Long story short the pickup tube will not bolt up with the windage tray in place. Que the zip wheel. First pix is the enlarged hole to facilitate the brace to bolt up pick up tube. Second pix is the stiffener rail that had to be relief cut to allow the pick up tube to nestle into place. I cut it just above the bend line to maintain structural integrity. Then washed it all up. Final pix are finished version. Then I attempted to manage two gaskets, one oil pan and a windage tray install with but two hands. I am a mere mortal and failed miserably, and after multiple failed attempts I chose to walk away and exercise some patience with regard to asking for help. Alternative involved a 45 and the ensuing repair! Like many on here asking for help is not my strongest character trait! Hah! The curse of always working alone. Nothing a cold beverage won’t cure. Once I get frustrated the tools start getting bigger and my default position is always my welding machine. I can here my Brother (RIP) yapping at me now “Step away from the welder Brother” I sure miss him!

Seems always something that's frustrating on building a car.
Would have liked to have met your brother if he was anything like you he's good ****. Sorry for your loss John.

On brighter note here is the pix of front bumper. It is not in final position but relatively close. I blame Cody Jinx or Whitey Morgan for the omission! Could not possibly be beverage related!

Same goes for me John so sorry for your loss . You certainly have your fabricating cut out for you !

I have a bunch of small crap I want to do first. Largely take K frame to car wash and pressure wash it so that I can then determine if it will be simpler to just re powder coat or try and get over spray off myself. Either way I am pissed off.
I don't blame you I would be. I figured the over spray was thick so real hard to get it off.
Might have to sand it off and buff it. I'm not real up on working with powder coating.

Oil pan stud kit? Are these bolts the same size as other pan bolts?
